Graham McAuley is the owner-manager of Box Sash Restoration.  Graham has been preserving and restoring this important part of our built heritage for over twenty years.

A time-served joiner, from the days when “time served” meant something, Graham is originally from Derry, and has worked on some of the finest buildings across the island.

“I see my work as crucial to preserving the built heritage of the past, for future generations.

“In a time where quality and tradition is sacrificed for speed and the cheapest price, it’s important that the essential elements of our surroundings are maintained and developed for everyone to appreciate.”

Based on the silver plains of Moyarget near Ballycastle, Graham restores and renews windows from the past few hundred years to a new glory to let old light through new windows.  All processes are done – in the main – by hand, with the very best of materials.

Where possible, he uses salvaged and reused materials from other projects, when the original material is beyond repair.  What starts out as a forgotten or abandoned aperture in your home, returns as a stunning centre piece to any room.

Graham is happy to visit your period home or building and give advice or a quote based on over twenty years of experience in the field.  Simply contact Box Sash Restoration through this site or by phone for an appointment.
